Judge Julienne Ferris currently serves as Huron County’s Probate and 73B District Court Judge and is running to keep her seat on the bench this November.
Before taking the bench, Julienne spent more than 15 years standing beside individuals and families as an attorney, representing thousands of clients in courts across the Thumb. She practiced in both District and Probate Court, handling criminal and civil cases, estates, guardianships and conservatorships. Her legal experience also includes Circuit Court and appellate matters before the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Huron County’s Probate Judge presides over two very different courts. The 73B District Court handles criminal and civil cases, along with traffic matters. Probate Court handles matters any family could suddenly face, including an estate after the death of a loved one, a guardianship following an accident or illness, or a conservatorship for someone who can no longer manage their affairs.
Judge Ferris came to the bench prepared for the whole job. She is the candidate with experience as an attorney and a judge in both courts.
Keep experience on the bench. Vote Ferris this November.
Huron County has always been home.
Julienne Ferris was born and raised in Bad Axe, where she graduated as valedictorian of Bad Axe High School and spent most summers playing or coaching on the Little League field. Starting in high school, she began teaching swim lessons and has since taught more than 2,000 local kids to swim.
Julienne was a fourth-grade teacher before attending law school. She went on to practice law for more than 15 years before becoming a judge. Julienne has also served her community as president of the Huron County Bar Association and spent 10 years on the Thumb Area Transit Board.
Julienne lives in Bad Axe with her husband, Brian, and their three children are now in college. She loves sports, loves to travel, rarely passes up the chance to hear live music, and has more than 100 concert T-shirts to prove it.
